Vanessa Barragão is a designer and the owner of her design studio called Studio Vanessa Barragão. The Porto, Portugal-based artist creates textiles and products for interiors, and according to her personal website, Barragão was born in Albufeira, in the south of Portugal, near the seaside which was the true inspiration for her artworks.
“Barragão’s work is characterized by her captivating environments of coral reefs, cleverly combining craft and recycled materials into unique and luxurious sculptural carpets and tapestries for floors and walls,” it says on her personal website.
She founded her studio five years ago, in 2014 when she attended a Master’s degree in Lisbon University in fashion and textiles design.
You can find Barragão’s artwork on her Instagram profile where she shares some of her creations, and by showing her amazing pieces, the artist gained almost 100 thousand followers.
