Dutch Artist Re-Imagined the Night King From “Game of Thrones”

Jeroen van Valkenburg is a 47-year-old Dutch painter and sculptor whose interest mainly lies in the religious and the mystical side of Viking culture. However, being disappointed with the ending of Game of Thrones and not finding the Night King very scary, he decided to create his own version.

“Being a professional artist I decided to bring my vision of the Night King to life in the form of a sculpture,” the artist shared with Bored Panda. “After 60 hours of sculpting and painting my own Night King was finished. It is life-size and made out of epoxy and then painted with acrylics and oil paint.”

Besides magnificent sculptures, the artist depicts gods and goddesses long forgotten and designs book, CD and LP covers, as well. His work has been exhibited in many galleries both internationally and locally.
