Elisa Sheehan Uses Eggshells as Her Canvas

When you’re an artist, anything can be your canvas. For Elisa Sheehan, it’s eggshells.

Sheehan uses the ancient art of Kintsugi, which was used to repair cracked pottery with gold. Depending on the viewpoint, it’s sometimes impossible to see that she’s actually working with eggshells. According to the artist, this series represents celebration of imperfection.

Her art looks delicate and fragile, but at the same time beautiful and strong, and that’s exactly the message she wants it to send. To see more of her work, follow her on Instagram. Below are our picks from her portfolio.
