Mystifying Hedge Mazes From Around The World

Hedge mazes wake up the fantasy in every person – first thing that comes to mind is to play around and find the exit in the labyrinth or maybe go on a chase through the maze. If you wanna go to a hedge maze, good choice! Hedge mazes look and are absolutely astonishing and here are few that will not leave you indifferent.

Longleat Maze, Warminster, England

This is the longest hedge maze in the world, stretching up to almost 1.7 miles. It’s part of 8000 acres of land that were owned by the Marquesses of Bath. The famous Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown took care of the land and created beautiful landscapes on about 900 acres.

Andrássy Castle, Tiszadob, Hungary

Andrássy Castle can show-off with its unique hedge maze which is supposed to be a squid. Located near the Hungarian-Slovakian border near the Tisza River, this castle built in the 19th century is a great place to visit – and the hedge maze is not very tall, so it’s suitable for children too!

Villa Pisani Labyrinth, Stra, Italy

Constructed in 720, it’s one of the oldest mazes and also considered among the most difficult ones. Even Napoleon couldn’t be indifferent and tried to finish it, but with no success. Beside the labyrinth, you can also enjoy beautiful views from an 18th-century turret.
