Great news for all cat lovers! Eric Blumrich is creating an open-world adventure game with cats on a remote Maine island. This will be a story-driven adventure game, and it’s been currently developed for MAC, PC and the Oculus VR system. The story of the game is told from the perspective of nine cats who wake up and realize that their human companions are gone. Their names are Boy, Calinaigh, Anin, girl, Zack, Ronan, Sushi, and Elizabeth. Peace Island will be a non-violent game and will be focused on discovery, atmosphere, exploration, giving the player a chance to experience different storylines as they approach the ultimate decision: “Are the humans worth bringing back?”.
The team working on this game consists of a small number of dedicated people with the goal of expanding the emotional palette of gaming and bringing back the creativity into this industry which is getting eaten by monetization and uncreative and violent solutions.
The cool thing about this game is that it’s human-free, and all nine cats have the liberty to explore their surroundings freely, and also, the game will feature four communities, realistic nature, day and night cycles, detailed interiors, etc.
