Berlin-based artist, Ju Schnee, creates pop art illustrations that poke fun at our consumer based society. With cheeky renditions for classical paintings such as in “Girl With the Moschino Earring,” and a nod pop culture, it’s hard to stay indifferent to Schnee’s eye-popping creations.
Her illustrations aren’t tucked away in her drawers but splashed across buildings, with murals in New York City, Hamburg, Barcelona, and Berlin. She’s also worked with giants such as Nike, Adidas, and Dr. Martens.
“My works are primarily created digitally using graphic tablets allowing me to work efficiently,” explains the artist on her website. “Nevertheless I also love to paint walls in public spaces or create engaging animated GIFs and animations.”
