Glen Powell is taking the world by storm with his new disaster film Twisters, and he’s doing it with an adorable companion by his side. His rescue dog Brisket stole the show during the promo tour for this film, and he brought its cast and crew together behind the scenes.
Contrary to popular belief, Brisket doesn’t actually appear in Twisters, but he was a major fixture on the film’s set. Powell adopted him while working on this summer blockbuster and even took a weekend off filming to adopt him after stumbling upon his photo on Instagram.
After getting a green light from the Labelle Foundation to adopt Brisket, he brought him from Los Angeles to Oklahoma, and everyone on the Twisters set took great care of him.
“He was crate training and all that stuff, so he was crying through the night. I felt like literally a new father, where I wasn’t sleeping while shooting this movie. But Brisket would just kick it with every department head, and he would sit in my chair and just sleep,” Powell told Entertainment Weekly.
Despite not being a part of the Twisters cast, Brisket became somewhat of the film’s mascot, appearing alongside Powell during interviews, red carpet events, and photoshoots.
