Ji Yeun Kang works as a freelance digital artist and illustrator with the desire to convey a message or a purpose through her works using light, color, and composition. The South Korea-based artist creates various illustrations, for both kids and young adults and collaborates with brands and companies.

“I think a story or message is essential for illustration. So whether or not I achieve that goal is also a very important component of my work, too,” the artist shared in an interview for Ballpit and explained that she founds her inspiration from picture books she read as a kid. “The such a wonderful world that was unfolded in my mind while I read and see those books is the basis of my work.”
