Remarkable Stop Motion Animation by Stefano Colferai

“Armed with irony and plasticine I create characters and illustrations” this is how Italian artist Stefano Colferai describes his work. When he realized that football wasn’t his dream career, the Milano-based artist began expressing his creativity using his hands.

He soon started making his ‘hands dirty’ and focused on modeling character, illustration, and stop motion animation. Although plasticine wasn’t the first medium he started experimenting with, it was love at first sight. Colferai sculpts miniature figures and places them into hilarious situations.

“You can play a lot with forms: stretching, mixing colors, twisting and making flat figures. I find it hard to switch off my ideas, and modeling with my own hands catapults me into a dimension where I can become a child again. It’s a kind of magical experience, and that’s what I love most about it,” the artist told We Heart.

We really enjoyed scrolling through his Instagram page where he has attracted more than 61,000 followers, and we believe you will love it too! Follow him for future updates.
