Duca says that he’s been interested in art his entire life. He started painting when he was only 4 years old and, as he says, he never stopped since.
“My artwork is a constant search for the best way to interpret realism with my own hands. Limiting myself to a mixture of mediums to reach the highest personal artistic plateaus, in order to best achieve my goal – to create portrait illustrations that will not only meet but surpass expectations,” the artist told Bored Panda.

]]>“At first, it took me a while to get up my speed, but once I got in my drawing groove I was able to get the images down in ten minutes using charcoal and chalk on gray paper,” the artist wrote on Bored Panda. “I started to be asked to draw at more pet parties after that first event. I can do larger commissioned artworks and with people and their pet’s also.”
Cahill also organizes Paint Your Pet Portrait FunParties where she helps pet owners to depict portraits of their fur babies. ]]>Grabelsky starts each painting with an idea, then does a photoshoot with friends or family members, and works up a composite in Photoshop where he starts visualizing what the painting will look like.
“I spend most of this stage laughing. I find that when the image cracks me up I know it will make a good painting,” the artist told in an interview for Sour Harvest, and adds that the rest of the time he spends creating the painting which requires many hours of intense concentration.
He also revealed that his creatures will one day leave the New York subway and then go out into the wider world.
“I certainly want to do paintings set in different locations in New York. I was born and am currently living in Los Angeles and so I expect that my characters will make it out to LA at some point.”

]]>“At that time, I sold prints of my art, but not the originals,” the artist shared with Bored Panda. “All of the paintings on ziplock bags belong to my daughter, and I compiled them into a book for her.”
When the school year ended, Erika didn’t have to pack lunches, but she kept painting cats on plastic sheets designed for art. However, her daughter wasn’t interested in keeping them because they weren’t done ‘for her,’ so she began selling her original paintings.
Erika also helps local rescue groups by painting their cats in hopes they find forever homes.
“I set aside a portion of proceeds from my art sales for donations to the two groups I mentioned above, because I feel like the more love you put into your art (or really anything you do) the better it turns out,” she added.

]]>“My favorite part of my job is being able to capture the character of every pet and it’s a right laugh sometimes,” Buckle shared on Bored Panda. “Not all the pets that come to the studio are happy about it and you can see their stubborn nature. Particularly with cats they can be notoriously difficult with new environments and people so I was happy to let them take over the studio and have free reign to do what they wanted.”

]]>Ashley loves to create works of art based on nature to showcase the beauty that surrounds her. She loves her native New Zealand and its unique animals such as Weta, Kokako, Tui and Kaka but in general she’s a big fish and bird nerd. Currently she is studying for her Bachelors of Science and plans to contribute to environmental conservation.
Her art is not only a form of expression but it also helps her raise money towards her university fund. In the past, she has successfully completed a project “Ashley’s Fish Art” before branching out to animals of all shapes and sizes. Recently, she made 46 animals portraits painted using watercolors and pencils.
