Unlike most, Nathan is a cat that loves the beach!  Abandoned as a kitty, he was found by Mel, who lived in Queensland, Australia, with her husband Rian. One way or another, Nathan the cat found a way to adjust to his living conditions and not only does he not mind water – he loves it!

This adorable cat recently got a new sister, Winnie and now the two of them seem quite unstoppable! They are Instagram celebrities, with a blog, a YouTube channel, a Snapchat and a Facebook profile and they even volunteer at the animal shelter! Although they are somewhat local celebrities, they remain humble and true to what they were before they started doing the commercials and the photo shoots.

Their favorite activity still is going to the beach with their parents and doing some casual surfing. Can these two cats be the only felines that really enjoy being in the water or is there something in the air in the land down under that makes everyone become an instant beach person?

If you really want an answer to this question you can always contact Nathan or Winnie, we are sure they will be more than happy to give you their opinion on the matter, but whatever it is one thing is for certain – these two kitties are adorable!

We only recently finished exploring the last parts of the world, and one of the latest finds occurred in the 19th century, when explorers discovered a beautiful pink lake just off the southern coast of Australia. They named it Lake Hillier and it has remained virtually the same for the past two centuries, even though it grew in popularity.

This lake is one of the top destinations in the world to get some like-worthy Instagram pics. Its stunning rose water gets its colour from the micro algae Dunaliella Salina and the lake is surrounded by beautiful shores of sand and salt. It’s located on the Middle Island in the Recherche Archipelago, and its rims are only a few hundred feet away from the sea, which contrasts really well with its dark blue.

Even though it has abnormal quantities of salt in it, Lake Hillier is safe to swim in, and people have been taking advantage of this unique opportunity – to swim in a practically untouched and almost completely isolated pink lake. So, if you want to check out one of the most breathtaking sights in the entire world, head on over to Australia’s Middle Island or check out the pictures below!

At first glance, you might not realize what’s in front of you. White, eerie looking seeds and pods from otherworldly plants perhaps? But upon closer look, you realize that what seems natural is actually handmade: delicate porcelain sculptures shaped like pods, seeds, twigs, and stamens.

Sarah Rayner is an artist working primarily with porcelain. Living in bushland and surrounded by flora, Rayner closely identifies with Australian native plants.

“Porcelain has its own historical and cultural references to drawing rooms, aristocracy, purity, and luxury,” she writes on her personal website. “The earthiness of plants, the interconnected eco system, decay, and the cycle of life are distilled and accentuated by the cool, clean porcelain forms with their delicate pleats and clefts.”

Viewed individually, her sculptures reveal hidden details, carefully crafted.  Grouped, the sculptures draw you in, pulling you from one mysterious object to the next, capturing the sense of wonder and discovery.

Prepare to be mystified.
