]]>Sewing clothing may seem intimidating, especially when it’s so easy to just go online and buy stuff. But this Youtuber is here to prove to you that sewing is not just easy, but also fun!
Annika Victoria is a 22-year-old Youtuber and student from Sydney, Australia. She loves sewing and DIY in general. She sees sewing as both an eco-friendly way to expand her wardrobe and as a creative outlet. It 2011 she started her blog to teach others about sewing, but soon decided to create video tutorials instead.
Ever since 2014, she’s been sharing sewing tutorials and tips on her YouTube channel. Her aim is to prove that sewing is for everybody, and can be done on any budget. Sometimes she creates new clothes from scratch, but other times she upcycles and mends second-hand or torn clothes, giving new life to outfits that would have otherwise ended up in the trash been.
You don’t have to be a master sewist to follow Annika’s tutorials – and even if you don’t want to create your own clothes, it’s always fun to watch her process!

]]>The two fashion icons and friends joined hands to create Premme, a brand that caters to women sizes 12-30. “Premme was born out of a love of fashion and the recognition that the industry is still lacking when it comes to the wants and needs of plus size women,” reads their website.
“We believe babes of all sizes deserve bold, fashion-forward statement pieces without compromise. At Premme, we think that clothing should be about expressing your personality and having fun, not feeling limited by society’s current fashion rules.”
Judging by their Instagram page, Premme is indeed fashion-forward. “The Premme aesthetic is feminine, bold, and unapologetic,” said the fashion duo in an interview with Create & Cultivate.
“We’ve both been leaders in the plus-size community for almost a decade and have very similar career trajectories; we’ve both been fashion editors, influencers, designers, and brand consultants, and we saw similar issues with the status quo,” they went on to explain. “We’re both passionate about social justice and equality, and we’ve chosen to pursue a creative career that affects change: giving plus-size women access to designs and styles they’ve been told (either directly or through what’s currently available for them to shop) that they shouldn’t wear.”
