]]>Having studied design at UNSW Art and Design, her degree allowed her much creative freedom, exploring fields like graphics, jewelry, textiles, and sustainability. “Although I originally studied design, a lot of who I am now in illustration is self-made,” she says. “I drifted through my studies and only buckled down and worked hard in illustration near the very end of my degree.”
Based in Sydney, her images are inspired by the scenes of Australian suburbia, with her creations (both traditional and digital) blending together the real with the surreal. “I think of myself as an artist who was put on this planet to push the boundaries in some way in the creative field and contribute something interesting,” writes Liang. “My work is all about revealing the hidden wonders of our everyday suburbs, but also delves into histories and stories, especially of a past Australia.”
After experimenting with a huge variety of styles, her style has evolved into a unique blend that will hopefully delight you as much as it did us.

]]>He mainly focuses on human subjects and the things that surround them, turning everyday scenes into surreal animations that will definitely take your boredom away. This weekly project has become more selective over the past two years in terms of the ideas that he converts into GIFs.
“Other than that the approach is the same—find an idea and movement that amuses or speaks to me and make it right away!” he told Colossal.
Depending on the complexity of the concept, the artist spends about 15 minutes to two hours capturing the images before digitally manipulating them in post-production for an hour or several days.

]]>“Over time my style has evolved,” shared Dumic with Ballpit Magazine. “In the beginning, I used the details and textures to emphasize the story. As I started to deal with animation my illustrations have become simplified and more adapted to animation. Animation has enabled me to express myself in many ways. My style is a combination of smooth and flat shapes which are emphasized by the movement and wide range of colors.”
“Life itself is an Art,” says Dumic. “My mission is to record the moment and steal it from oblivion. Art helps us to perceive the unknown and to demystify taboos.”
“Everything starts when I lie down to sleep,” he adds, talking about his creative process. “I try to write down or sketch all the ideas that are rushing thru my mind. For the animation purposes I make storyboards which I later reproduce in a digital form. The script defines the style. I’m using a wide range of colors to create illustrations. The crucial aspect of animation is timing and emphasizing the right moment.”
