Romain Laurent is a talented French photographer and director who likes making animated images. He transforms ordinary still and video shoots into hilarious and bizarre GIFs.
He mainly focuses on human subjects and the things that surround them, turning everyday scenes into surreal animations that will definitely take your boredom away. This weekly project has become more selective over the past two years in terms of the ideas that he converts into GIFs.
“Other than that the approach is the same—find an idea and movement that amuses or speaks to me and make it right away!” he told Colossal.
Depending on the complexity of the concept, the artist spends about 15 minutes to two hours capturing the images before digitally manipulating them in post-production for an hour or several days.
