]]>Origami is the art of paper folding, especially popular in Japan where it originates from. Today, the word “origami” is used for all paper folding practices, whether they are connected to the original Japanese art or not.
When pulled slowly, the light gradually turns on. It can be turned off by compressing the object into its original position. Akirav is a recent graduate at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, the Industrial Design Department. That’s where she was first introduced to 3-D printing and she kept thinking about ways to utilize this technology into everyday life.

]]>The futuristic building, designed by Ernst Giselbrecht + Partner, is located in Bad Gleichinberg, Austria. The structure has a glass exterior and solar shading that covers the building to keep the occupants away from the severe sunlight. It also provides a breathtaking view during rainy days.
The façade has 112 aluminum tiles and 56 motors that make them move and it only takes 30 seconds for its façade to fully transform. Watching the structure unfold is like making a large scale Origami. Indeed, this building is unlike any other.

]]>Dating from the late 70’s, Gundam is a Japanese animation franchise created by Yoshiyuki Tomino and Hajime Yatate which is not just a series, but a complete saga with a multitude of storylines; we are far from reaching the end of the franchise.
Since last year, Alba has been making remarkable origami robots. From a Megazord from Power Rangers to Kshatriya, from Gundam to Evangelion, the young artist still has a serious preference for robots from the Gundam series. And he shares his creations in his Instagram account that has more than 4500 followers.
