The Keifer Technic Showroom is an office building and exhibition space with a dynamic façade that changes its appearance based on weather conditions. It optimizes internal climate while allowing tenants to personalize their own spaces with user controls.
The futuristic building, designed by Ernst Giselbrecht + Partner, is located in Bad Gleichinberg, Austria. The structure has a glass exterior and solar shading that covers the building to keep the occupants away from the severe sunlight. It also provides a breathtaking view during rainy days.
The façade has 112 aluminum tiles and 56 motors that make them move and it only takes 30 seconds for its façade to fully transform. Watching the structure unfold is like making a large scale Origami. Indeed, this building is unlike any other.
