The coronavirus pandemic has drastically slowed down travel these days and many people are forced to spend time in their homes. If you’re among them, you’ll be happy to know that you can still explore the world online as many museums are starting to offer online tours in the light of the new events.

One of them is Hermitage in St. Petersburg, Russia, which collaborated with Apple to get us this incredible 5-hour footage of the inside of this impressive museum.

The video takes us through 45 galleries, shows 588 works, and even includes live performances from ballet dancers and composer Kirill Richter. Apple shot it as a way to showcase the battery life and performance on their new iPhone 11.

“This video to me is all about connection through time,” ArtNet quoted filmmaker Axinya Gog. “Art that is timeless meets modern life and state-of-the-art technology.” Gog and her team created the single-shot video during their six-hour visit to the museum. See it below.

We have come to a point in time where if people are looking for something new and different, they go have to go back decades to reminisce.

That’s why movie remakes are so popular today.

Perhaps to try and take advantage of this, Zoran Cardula decided to do something that combined the old and the new as well. Or, as he’d like to call it, the retro and the modern. But, for this, he decided to use something that’s iconic and nearly everyone can relate to and spliced it with something that most people arguably have a negative view of.

Replacing the Soviet heroes prominently featured in the past, including but not limited to political leaders and scientists, with iconic and unforgettable comic heroes, Zoran Cardula creates something that’s weirdly unique and captivating.

The final results are interesting, to say the least.

To see exactly what Zoran Cardula was able to create when he mixed the past and the present, be sure to scroll down below.

Sasha O’Kharin is a tattoo artist from St. Petersburg who works as a guest tattoo artist all over the world. He is also the owner of the tattoo studio “Blackout Tattoo Collective” where he works with six other talented artists.  O’Kharin’s style is exclusively realistic portraits and so far he has really mastered this skill. He began learning tattoo art when he was 24 years old and before becoming an independent artist he worked as a teacher. The only portraits he refuses to draw on people are their family’s portraits. During the last six years, O’Kharin has built great popularity. So far, he has earned sponsorship from a number of tattoo shops and companies like Odin Tattoo Shop and Kwadron Cartridges. He began sharing his work on Instagram in 2014, and has so far reached a number of 270k followers.

O’Kharin’s tattoos demand a very high level of detail-oriented work. His work is so precise when it comes to colors and shadows, it’s as if it’s not skin he’s working on! There is a large series of famous portraits O’Kharin has worked on and we singled out some of them for you to enjoy!
