She’s a simple girl who happens to suffer from lamellar ichthyosis, an extra rare skin condition where she sheds their skin every few weeks.

Jeyźa has had it since she can remember and although she spent a long time fighting and hiding it and not being comfortable with herself, she is now a proud model featured in the Vogue Italia magazine.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BxsxemqhPTV/

Her modeling path wasn’t easy, but she managed to fight through because ever since her very first audition in New York she made it clear that she is strong and beautiful and that if she wants it, she can do it all – and she really did!

https://www.instagram.com/p/B0mgJ4DlJvn/

Since her first job she got so many positive critics and compliments, sometimes it’s hard for her to keep up, but she is more than grateful and although famous, she uses the media attention as well as her Instagram profile to advocate self-love and acceptance.

Fridge magnets are probably the most common souvenir, but you can also get badges or pins that you can combine with your everyday outfit and have the souvenir on you all the time!

DROP-A-PIN is a husband and wife duo – an architect and a graphic designer who love to travel, and like many others, to bring home souvenirs from their trips. They’ve been traveling for the past 5 years, and as a designer and an architect, they admired and documented lots of buildings that have left impressions on them. They were looking for a pin of a building that they both loved to take as a souvenir but they couldn’t find one, so they had an idea – create the pin by themselves. This triggered the creation of a pin collection of buildings from around the world that are recognizable and definitely stand out.

Check out some of their minimalistic and eye-catching designs below but be careful – you will want these pins!

Andy Goldsworthy is a British sculptor, land artist and environmentalist known for his ephemeral works. The artist spent his childhood working on a farm, where his love and admiration for nature truly bloomed.

His true passion for nature inspired him to create something unexpected and in many ways challenging to our eyes. He deeply feels the energy from nature and transcends that energy into a brilliant art form, using leaves, wood, colored flowers, icicles, stones, snow, twigs and thorns. All of his masterpieces are created with these seemingly ordinary natural objects that usually don’t grab anyone’s attention. The artist takes a series of pictures of all of his creations because he considers that his works, like any other part of nature, are destined to inevitable change over time.

The forms he creates tell a story about our bond with nature and the powerful impact that bond has on us. Goldsworthy suggests that we could all benefit from it and that’s why we need to be more respectful towards nature.

Andy Goldsworthy has received several awards and is the main protagonist in a 2001 documentary film called Rivers and Tides and a follow-up 2018 documentary called Leaning into the Wind, both by Thomas Riedelsheimer.

Joseph Lee is a self-taught artist who focuses on painting portraits with his amazing skills. Lee loves to manipulate faces and emotions through different colors, segmented brush strokes and volume. The artist believes his work can act sort of like mirrors to allow the viewer to experience themselves.

“To me, faces are important because they’re the things you come across the most on a daily basis and they’re the most overlooked,” Joseph said. “When you come across my painting, I hope that it enables you to just stop and soak it in and see yourself, allow it to be some kind of reflection.”

You could say his artistic journey started when he was working in a sushi restaurant, waiting tables. “It was one of those days where I had a miserable shift and I just made an instant decision at that moment to just quit. I immediately went to the canvas, I immediately picked up a brush, and I just felt at home.”

Check out his amazing work.

For all the art lovers out there that want to experience being part of a painting, we have good news. The Mauritshuis museum in the Netherlands joined forces  with the Dutch design agency Capitola VR and created an application which allows you to step in into one of Rembrandt’s most famous paintings, “The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp.” The reason for this collaboration is celebrating Rembrandt van Rijn’s 350th birthday and what other way to celebrate this genius birth if not with an experience unique experience of his paintings.

The visitors can download the application for free and step into the world of magic this artist has to offer, experiencing it in a whole new way.  In order to present this artwork in virtual form, few people that look like the characters have been chosen. Then, to make it as similar as it can be, they used make up and costumes that resemble the 17-th century. The process of creating include 3D scanning, combining scans with 3D modeling software and than using ARKit and ARCore in order to place the holograms into the virtual environment.

Thanks to this process, the visitors have the opportunity to move and interact with the 3D objects and also enjoy different animation effects.

You think you know everything? Well, here’s something you may not know, people are scared of long words! Yes, you read right, there is a fear of long words and it’s called hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia. Here is a list of other phobias you may not have heard of:

Phobophobia – the fear of actually having a phobia! A little ironic, isn’t it?

Ablutophobia – the fear of bathing and cleaning. The next time someone sits next to you in public transport, remember they might have this phobia.

Siderophobia – the fear of stars! One of people’s favorite summer hobbies, watching stars may make relax you, or evidently – terrify you!

Logophobia – the fear of learning how to read. If you read this, don’t worry – you’re safe. People with this phobia become breathless, shaky or even paranoid when they see written words, and most of them refuse to learn to read or write.

Chorophobia – the fear of dancing. So, if someone says they don’t want to dance, maybe they really, really can’t. This phobia is usually associated with other social phobias like fear of crowds.

Optophobia – maybe one of the most bizarre phobias, fear of opening one’s eyes. Yes, someone is afraid of opening their eyes, literally!
