Taylor Weaver’s Instagram is a Spoonful of Sugar

Oftentimes, it’s not what’s being said, it’s how it’s being said. In the case of designer, hand-letterer, and illustrator Taylor Weaver, this saying couldn’t be any more literal. Known for her graphic illustrations, bright color palettes, and bubbly letterforms, her hand-lettering projects feature meaningful quotes and personal observations, all aimed at lifting up your spirits.

“I hope people look at my work and get excited about it,” Weaver shared with SD Voyager. “I hope it sparks a drive in them to create something wonderful that they love and are passionate about. I hope it is motivating to other artists and connects with people who just love to look at art too.”

Her art is also a way of connecting with others, a bridge between herself and her audience. “The main message of my art is just to share my life and experiences,” she explained. “I want to connect with others that have had the same or similar experiences while creating a beautiful finished product that is enjoyable to look at.”

“I don’t want to just create a beautiful piece of work,” she adds, “but I want it to connect with someone and mean something to them too.” As most of her work is personal, her inspiration comes from her own life experience. “I hope that my work is uplifting, funny, and sparks fun memories in people,” says Weaver. “I hope it makes them feel good.”

Her work does just that and more.
