This Artist Does Self-Portraits in the Manner of 50 Different Cartoons

Ali Bahja is a young artist and animator who challenged himself to create his self-portrait by recreating the style of several well-known cartoons.

Passionate about art and drawing, Ali challenged himself to do his self-portrait by repeating the visual aesthetics of famous series like Futurama, Pokemon, Goldorak, the Cities of Gold, South Park or Dragon Ball. A self-portrait worthy characters of our favorite cartoons!

Currently, the artistic director at TBWA, the 30-year-old artist from Lebanon wanted this project to be a homage to his favorite cartoons and video games that had a huge impact on his personality and helped in developing his imagination.

This is an ambitious and rich project of more than 50 drawings reflecting on Bahja’s childhood references.
