This Artist Makes Embroiders Inspired By Farmland

Victoria Rose Richards from South West Devon, UK is a 21-year-old artist who creates beautiful embroidery that showcases the hidden patterns of cultivated farmland.

Her artistic journey began back in 2018 when she pulled out her grandmother’s old embroidery tin. Although she suffers from chronic pain and Asperger’s syndrome, she is constantly learning new embroidery techniques.

The lifelong artist explains that she seeks inspiration from nature that surrounds her.

“My art is influenced by my love of the environment and conservation, which I developed during my biology degree I completed this year,” Richards told Colossal.

You can find images of her creations on her Instagram account where she has attracted more than 65,000 thousand followers. She also opened an Etsy store where she sells her beautiful thread paintings.
