Here on MobiSpirit we love supporting small businesses, especially if these businesses are pet related. Trotting Dog is fairly new to the scene, having launched in 2017 after brand owner Marianne crowdfunded and self-published a children’s book featuring illustrations of Spike—her Hungarian Vizsla dog.
As her drawings became popular, she decided to create cards and personalized gifts for dog lovers, and specifically Vizsla dog lovers. A couple of years later, and having adopted another Vizsla named Milo (rescued from the streets of Cyprus), the Trotting Dog brand is gaining momentum by the day. It’s products now include mugs, bags, cushion covers, and prints all hand-printed by Marianne.
“The beauty of being a creative today is that I really can personally connect with my customers and design things using their feedback and ideas,” shared the brand owner with the Printed blog. “I love that I am part of a global pack of dog lovers which the internet and social media has opened up. As a bit of a late starter, I am 47 and solo parent my kids, working in the creative industry from home with an online business has been completely accessible.”
Her designs feature mainly Vizslas but not only. “We do love creating gorgeous illustrated dog collections but more importantly support people who work to rescue and re-home Vizslas,” she notes on her website. Scroll down to see some of her products.
