Tommy Siegel Created One Funny Cartoon A Day For 500 Days

Tommy Siegel is a musician and illustrator from Brooklyn whose witty comics have taken over the Internet in the past few years. He was raised in Virginia and spent his early years split between playing in rock bands and drawing. In 2004, he met the guys with whom he created a band today known as Jukebox the Ghost. The band is still rocking, and while on tours, Siegel draws cartoons by taking requests from their fans and tweeting them when finished. Today this band has 5 studio albums behind them and over 1000 shows, so you can imagine how many cartoons there are behind Siegel!

In 2014 he released a book under the name “Van Doodles, Volume 1”. So far, he has 88.4k followers on Instagram, and in 2017 he started a 500-day challenge in which he drew 1 cartoon a day, every day for 500 days. To translate this into years – that’s almost two years and the challenge ended on 27th of June 2019. Many of his comics are a criticism of the modern world and deal with issues like climate change, use of the internet, relationships etc.

Here are some examples of his cartoons we loved and wanted to share with you.
