Anne Lovart Draws Iconic Characters on Starbucks Cups

In 1987, Starbucks unveiled its new logo. A fusion of two existing logos, it gave birth to the famous long-haired green siren. Since then, one of the most famous logos in the world still inspires artists to reappropriate and subversively use it in their art.

In her Instagram account, the Ukrainian artist Annet Lovart transforms this iconic character of the coffee brand and embeds it naturally into various compositions. From Deadpool to Harley Quinn through Wonder Woman and Alice in Wonderland, the Starbucks mermaid takes colors under the brushes of the female artist who also does body art and incredibly detailed floral paintings.
