Luna Prysiazhniuk is a Ukranian architecture student and artist who expresses her creativity through oil renderings of Chicago, the city where she lives. She sees paintings as an alternative way of looking at the architecture around her and a way to work on new projects for her school.
Her paintings show various buildings, the Chicago River, train platforms, and other city landmarks. The paintings feature colorful layers and dynamic reflections on large windows.
Besides the city of Chicago, Prysiazhniuk paints many other things. She enjoys going out to the city and finding the perfect spot for making her next painting. “The only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is an excellent work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do!” she writes on Instagram.
