Becca Golins is a U.S.-native artist who is making everyone’s dream of having a dragon to turn into reality. Ok, not exactly reality, but as close as it can get as she’s crafting incredibly detailed figurines of dragons and other fantastical beasts.
Golins had an interest in art since a young age, but decided to enter the world of videogame production after college. After working in the field for several years, she decided she wants to get back to art and found a passion for sculpting. She began making small sculptures of dragons and fantasy characters out of polymer clay, and people loved her work.
“I’ve always sculpted as a hobby and am completely self taught,” she writes on her website. “In April of 2010 I decided I wanted to finally try my hand at selling my work. I started posting things on Etsy and Deviant Art and veeery slowly people started noticing.”
After a few years of hard work and gaining wider exposure, Golins now turned her hobby into a successful business, and her figurines made their way into collections all over the world.
