After mastering the basics of baking, Piggott decided to put an artistic twist on sourdough, and she came up with a creative way to do so. The custom edible wafer paper is the go-to material she uses to take her sourdough to new heights, but she’s also no stranger to scoring the dough by hand.

]]>Kelsey attracted 300,000 Instagram followers since she launched Rope Drop Design in 2021, but her beginnings were pretty humble. She’s a huge theme park enthusiast, who always enjoyed coming up with elaborate outfits for her visits, and things took a wild turn once she decided to start making her own.
She started designing ears for her Disney World visits, using thrifted bedsheets in the process. She didn’t want to let all the leftover materials go to waste, so she used them to make a dress, and this marked the start of a wonderful journey for the aspiring designer.
Rope Drop Design’s offer now includes everything from dresses and skirts to jackets and sweaters with motifs from such Disney classics as Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and The Lion King. She’s using her brand to promote the power of sustainable slow fashion since many of her designs are made-to-order with thrifted materials, primarily second-hand bedsheets inspired by Disney movies.

]]>Worcester is a freelance illustrator and animator from Kansas City, who embarked on quite a journey since finding his true calling. Despite his endless love for art, he decided to pursue mechanical engineering as a safe option after graduating from high school, but his plans changed after the pandemic hit.
“I was given the time and space to buckle down and really dive head first into the world of illustration. I loved the way I could communicate and express these big ideas of even bigger worlds, and I found myself with a voracious appetite for anything art-related,” he told Spaces.
Worcester started sharing his illustrations online and built quite a following, with over 120,000 followers on Instagram alone. He wants his body of work to transport people into worlds filled with magic and light—and ghosts are a big part of that.
Some of Worcester’s best illustrations and animated videos feature sheet-covered ghosts simply going about their day. Instead of presenting them as scary creatures, he shows them doing the same activities that brought them joy while they were humans, from riding a bike and doing laundry to fishing and reading.

]]>Liu took up embroidery as a hobby over a decade ago, and a trip to Dali in China completely changed her approach to this art form. While exploring the Bai minority region, she came across locals doing punch needle embroidery and later revamped the traditional technique to develop her own style, combining it with hand embroidery and scissors sculpting.
Youmeng mostly works with silk and cotton threads and avoids felting in an attempt to give her artwork a realistic look. She explored many different subjects over the years, but something truly clicked when she decided to start making embroidery replicas of her favorite foods in 2020.
“Every food has their own character which she wants to convey the emotions onto her artwork. From the baby broccoli which is peaceful and relaxing to the fried egg with its warmth and energy. Youmeng wants to transfer all these feelings to her audiences,” she writes on her official website.

]]>Contrary to popular belief, Brisket doesn’t actually appear in Twisters, but he was a major fixture on the film’s set. Powell adopted him while working on this summer blockbuster and even took a weekend off filming to adopt him after stumbling upon his photo on Instagram.
After getting a green light from the Labelle Foundation to adopt Brisket, he brought him from Los Angeles to Oklahoma, and everyone on the Twisters set took great care of him.
“He was crate training and all that stuff, so he was crying through the night. I felt like literally a new father, where I wasn’t sleeping while shooting this movie. But Brisket would just kick it with every department head, and he would sit in my chair and just sleep,” Powell told Entertainment Weekly.
Despite not being a part of the Twisters cast, Brisket became somewhat of the film’s mascot, appearing alongside Powell during interviews, red carpet events, and photoshoots.
