]]>Using a stack of pencils, Sultani produces incredible artwork. However, his pencil art is not what you expect. The Afghan-born artist doesn’t draw with pencils, instead he “paints a picture” by stacking them on a flat surface. He doesn’t do any altercations to the pencils, he usually uses the eraser tips or arranges various colors to form the image he wants to create.

“Like the majority of her work,” curator and writer Justine Ludwig said to Design Boom. “We are the baby gang also draws from Pivi’s personal narrative. Specifically, the aesthetics of parenthood. She is inspired by miniaturized objects that began to populate her surroundings when her son came into her life— shoes fit in the palm of one’s hand, toys are the world made small and reimagined in electric tonalities. When Pivi became a mother the objects around her began to shrink in size to fit to needs of her son. She came to occupy the world in miniature. everything is made cute and precious. It is a constant reminder of precariousness and responsibility. Like a human child, the baby bears, even in their ferocity, need protection.”

Craig loves animals and has always imagined what they might be saying while we are goofily looking at them. This combination of love for comics and love for animals has led to his hilarious illustrations about the ways animals act.
The comics became an internet sensation and a book titled “They Can Talk: A Collection of Comics about Animals,” was published in 2018. Check out his latest posts below.

]]>His design project called Unnecessary Inventions, creates products that no one is really asking for. As for the process, he uses various methods such 3D printing, mold making, and sewing, to transform his unnecessary idea into physical product. Each piece is shot professionally to look like a real marketing campaign for a product which is definitely not available.
“The project explores creativity, experimentation with design & processes, and pokes fun at the real products people will actually purchase online,” Benedetto said.

]]>He uses art to translate the experiences of nature to other people. The colorful landscapes allow the viewers to appreciate nature through the eyes of the artist. “No two people experience a sunset in the same way, and yet we can experience it together. Though painting is largely a solitary endeavor, it is never a lonely one, because I am invited to share in the ineffable mystery of beauty,” he explains.
Schuerr juxtaposes his art pieces to the subject which in his work becomes a frame, a perfect surrounding that seamlessly blends with art to create a spectacular image.

]]>The Norwegian designer arrived in London to study sculpture during his BFA. The idea for his pieces, which he refers to as “bubbles,” came to him early on in his studies at CSM.
“I was inspired by my own early childhood memories. I wanted to recreate the fogginess and the ‘mist’ of the memories themselves,” Tjærandsen told Vogue. “The inflated bubbles are about being able to wear an unclear memory. When the bubble emerges onto the catwalk, it’s the dream. The deflation of the bubble visualises the moment when we realise we have a consciousness.”
Each piece is made from natural rubber, which Tjærandsen sourced from local rubber growers in Sri Lanka. The dress can be reinflated once the bubble is released from the inside and it can be reworn both in “bubble” or dress mode.

With huge quantities of knots and ropes involved in her artwork, de Groot wants to amplify awareness that raises questions about time, technique and intensity, which will create possible dialogue between object, viewer and maker.

]]>Since its inception in 1976, Roncalli has entertained numerous people with their amazing human and animal performers. But in 1990s, the German circus supported the movement to discourage cruel animal practices by not using wild animals in their shows. Since then, they’ve only used domestic horses until recently. Thanks to the new technology, their new act has replaced all live animals with 3D holograms for their cruelty-free performances.
Roncalli is the world’s first holographic circus show to present trapeze artists and clowns joined by amazing 3D creatures. TAG/TRAUM, Roncalli’s agency, has collaborated with Bluebox and Optoma to install 11 laser projectors for a magical holographic experience.
Viewers can now enjoy Roncalli’s shows with the gratification of knowing that no real animals have been harmed. Jan Creamer, president of Animal Defenders International, told The Dodo, that circuses like this one are “the future.”
“This is the future of circus — a performance everyone can enjoy and for which intelligent, sentient beings are not used and depicted as objects of entertainment.”

]]>In 2005, he started creating 3D figures and the first piece he made was a donkey wearing a suit. His clay sculptures are mostly half-humans, half-animals creatures. They have human bodies but their heads are from animals – horses, birds, donkeys and reptiles.
Though his creations are definitely surreal, they looked realistic that some of the sculptures even have tattoos on them. They are also found in everyday settings like playing the guitar, riding a subway and reading a newspaper.
His bizarre sculptures became widely popular across Europe and Gallo gained over 30k followers on Instagram.
