Edinburgh-based artist Frances Priest mixes different patterns to create beautiful contemporary ceramic vases, bowls, and other designs. She first started by sketching vases and bowls on paper before turning them into real-life pieces. She works using scalpels and aluminum stamps, similar to what she does on paper.
“I can distinctly remember spending hours as a child tracing the designs with my fingers, leafing from page to page and absorbing the visual languages on display,” she told Cavaliero of Finn.
