French Duo Creates Murals of Sleeping Characters

Ella and Pitr are a French artistic duo who paints murals on rooftops, geometrical lots, and building facades. Their story began in Autumn 2007 when they met in a random street, both of them pasting posters on walls. Later that year, they united their talents and began working under the name Les Papiers Peintres.

Their art works have couple of things in common; they represent sleeping characters, which murals often feature stripes and the limited color palette of the French flag: red, white, and blue.

They usually illustrate politics and social issues, however, they also love painting lighthearted and fun pieces. Ella and Pitr decorated walls and rooftops all around the world, in countries like Bulgaria, Croatia, Colombia, Norway and many more.

They share their work on Instagram where they have gathered more than 36.5 thousand admirers. You can also find their work on their personal website, as well.
