The simplest tools can sometimes produce the most complex and amazing art. Paper is something that’s available to all of us, yet it’s rare to see someone turning it into something this wonderful. Héloïse Bossard is a paper cut-out artist and a former architect, who creates work inspired by different things. One of her latest pieces was inspired by Hokusai’s The Great Wave Off Kanagawa.
“Always in love with paper, it was on her return to France after two years spent in Japan that Heloise Bossard decided to create Au Détour du Papier,” we read on her website. Bossard fell in love with the Japanese art of cutting paper, Kirigami, so much that she can’t imagine doing anything else.
