Oreo Teamed Up With HBO to Recreate The “Game Of Thrones” Intro Using Almost 3,000 Cookies

The most anticipated final season of the blockbuster hit HBO TV series Game of Thrones is less than 2 weeks away and everyone is excited including Oreo.

Recently, Oreo and HBO teamed up with Elastic, the creator of the original opening credits, to create a new version of the series’ intro using nearly 3,000 cookies.

Oreo had already teased the release of the ‘Game of Thrones’-inspired chocolate cookies but the official announcement was made last Tuesday along with a video clip recreating the show’s opening credits sequence with lots of Oreo cookies.

Oreo reported that it took 2,750 cookies to build the snowy view of the landscapes and castles. Their limited-edition Game of Thrones cookies features a special package of the Iron Throne. The cookies themselves are marked with stylized logos for House Targaryen, House Stark, House Lannister, and The Night King.

The special cookies will be available in the US on April 8.
