Randa Haddadin Draws Beautiful Images on Her Hands and Legs

Randa Haddadin is a Russian Jordanian visual artist, illustrator, and architect who uses her body as a canvas. Inspired by the cities she has visited and the ones she dreams about, the Dubai-based artist explores emotions, people, and dance. She says that she likes mixing different mediums, from inks, and watercolors to acrylics and her morning coffee.

Haddadin has been doing body art for quite some time, and after she is done with her piece she documents it on Instagram before it disappears.

“It’s a therapeutic process for me, where I don’t need to worry about the end result—keeping it, preserving it, or selling it. Instead, I can focus on the process of creating and enjoy the spontaneous strokes. The comfort of its temporariness gives me more room to be braver with my lines, unlike a permanent tattoo or a sealed oil painting,” the artist told My Modern Met.
