Hi guys! Sophisticated Helena Bonham Carter as Yzma ♥💜 It's character from old @Disney movie – The Emperor's New groove. if you have not seen this movie I highly recommend it. ⠀ In the story, this beauty, really wants to sit on the imperial throne, but there is one small problem. The young emperor who is already sitting on it. But whom it will stop, especially if you're a Disney villain☻ ⠀ Would you like to be the ruler of a small (or not so) country? 👑 Of course, if you didn’t have to overthrow anyone 😅👌 I wouldn't want. Too much responsibility for me 😰🙈😄 ———————————————————- Привет друзья!

Have you ever looked at a movie star and thought to yourself “he’d be perfect in a live-action version of this Disney movie?” You’re not the only one, and Helen Morgun goes even beyond just thinking it and she applies her considerable sketching skills to turn her favorite celebrities into iconic Disney characters. Among her works you’ll find Margot Robbie as Elsa from Frozen, Megan Fox as the disguised Sea Witch from The Little Mermaid, Taylor Swift as Tinker Bell, to name a few.

Helen’s process is pretty complex. She starts by looking for an interesting character in the considerable repertoire of the studio. Then, she has to find the perfect celebrity to personify that character. They can be physically similar, or they can have similar personalities for the magic to work. Once she has the perfect reference, she starts planning her drawings.

Then she starts sketching. Like many modern artists, her favorite medium is digital art, and she works mostly on Photoshop. She combines the pose and facial features of the celebrities with the clothing, background, accessories, and companions of the relevant Disney character to create the perfect mashup of real-life and fantasy.

The end result is a stunning and unique portrait that’ll give you a fresh perspective on Disney. Now all we have to do is wait for the studio to cast these actors as the leads in their live-action movies!

If you’re a girl, we’re more than certain that once upon a time you wished to be a real Disney princess. Well, if your favorite princess was Ariel, the Little Mermaid, be prepared to have your childhood dream finally come true!

Because you can’t yet live underwater and you are not a princess or a mermaid, the best thing you can do is get this bed that looks exactly like Ariel’s bed in the Little Mermaid cartoon.

To be real, this bed is actually intended for children, but it can just as well might be for adults who still feel young in their hearts.

The name of the bed is The little Mermaid and you can buy it from the Portuguese company Circu, the company that designed it. If you pay extra, you will also get an indoor night light, so when you close the shell, you can still see the light from the pearl!

Although this is not a necessity, the bed of the daughter of King Triton still looks magical, and if nothing, you can at least look at how amazing it is and dream that one day you can rule the underwater kingdom!

Sometimes all you have to do to make it in life is be true to yourself. That’s the message of almost every Disney movie ever, but it’s also true of Jamie Jo Burn’s life, which has been very much a Disney story.

Jamie Jo’s life wasn’t always easy. Growing up in Springfield, Missouri, she was a creative and talented kid, a gifted figure skated and very good and drawing, but she was also shy and introverted. She was bullied in school, had very few friends and hated the cutthroat competitiveness of the figure skating world. She struggled to find her place in life, and her one solace was her love for drawing and animated films.

Then two things changed in her life: first, she discovered YouTube. This was the early days of the platform, and Jamie Jo was introduced to the site by a tech savvy friend. She immediately fell in love with the platform and started following artists and creators. Eventually she was inspired to start her own YouTube channel, where she started sharing her art.

Second, she went to Disneyland for the first time. She hadn’t expected to love it, but she did, Disney became a huge source of inspiration for her and she started drawing characters and scenes from Disney movies.

That’s when things exploded for her. Her unique style and warm personality attracted followers, and she managed to turn her after-school hobby into a career. She even met her husband through YouTube – she met English YouTuber Tom Burns at a YouTube convention and after a few months of dating, they got married in a huge Disney-inspired weddings.

Today Jamie Jo is still lives her happily-ever-after, creating art and videos. Who said only movies have good endings? Scroll down to see some of Jamie Jo’s art videos.

If you’ve ever had nightmares because of Ursula, then you’re not alone.

The Little Mermaid’s ultimate big baddie and little sister of Triton is one scary sea witch, and how she is so perfectly portrayed in the animated film only makes her even more memorable, and not in a very nice way, especially in the eyes of a child.

But, did you know that Ursula wasn’t always like that?

The little sister of Triton, Ursula was born much prettier than she looks now. However, because of her attempt to try and overthrow Triton, she was cursed to bear her grotesque look.

Of course, this is all hypothetical and isn’t an actual backstory by Disney.

Then again, does that really matter?

Yohann Antoine’s work is so detailed and good that you wouldn’t even care if his take on Ursula’s backstory is real or not, mostly because it does a good way of explaining how and why Ursula is what she is once The Little Mermaid starts.

If there’s one pattern that you’ve noticed over the past couple of years, Disney seems intent on bringing over their classic cartoons into the modern century by creating live-action versions.

Most of Disney’s live-action ventures have been commercially successful. This includes Dumbo, the least successful of all and was still able to rake in $350 million in the box office against a $170 million budget. With such success, it’s no surprise artists for trying to jump into Disney’s modern hype-train.

One artist, however, decided that, instead of bringing the classic characters to live-action life, why not try and illustrate how they’d look like in today’s society?

Designer and illustrator Tom Ward has come up with a couple of alternative illustrations showing characters like Pinocchio living in modern society and using the same gadgets that we use every day.

Earth is warming up, ice caps are melting and climate-caused natural calamities are becoming more frequent and more intense. By intensifying heat waves and droughts, global warming could destabilize the balance of our planet.

A series of illustrations by Baptiste Drausin denounce our actions on the planet. The invasion of plastics in oceans, air pollution, the disappearance of bees, deforestation, black tides… Drausin imagines and displays the consequences of our actions through the Disney classics.

Winnie the Pooh has no more honey to taste, Bambi is saddened by the decline of forests, Mary Poppins is obliged to wear a mask to move in the sky, The Little Mermaid is smothered with plastic waste present in the oceans, Pocahontas must face the pollution of the rivers.
