]]>His interest in art began at an early age – he used to draw motives from folk-tales and nature, and these motives still fascinate him. His work is usually large-scale and in black-and-white technique, but if you visit his Instagram page you can find colorful works as well. The reason why he makes monochromatic images mostly is because he is partially color blind!
Dill’s murals can be found all over the United States, and if you travel through Oakland, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Albuquerque, San Francisco, etc., you might recognize them for his unique and childish style. Dill also likes working in the moment, so he avoids making any sketches or plans, drawing spontaneously and freely.

]]>From drawing hilarious daily comics, to describing love, he has been also creating many personal projects. This time, the Malaysian artist illustrated famous quotes as posters.
“The finest thoughts in the fewest words are the reason why many of us are drawn to famous quotes,” Yau Hoon wrote on Bored Panda. “As an illustrator, I always aspire to illustrate words and stories to visually interpret thoughts. These illustrations are meant to complement the famous quotes by famous people, or unknown authors. Perhaps there is no legitimate record of these quotes being said by anyone of note.”

]]>“I love telling stories,” writes Studentschnig on her website. “Which is exactly what my work is all about: mixing hand-drawn illustrations with bold typography and sleek layouts to create eye-catching design solutions brimming with character. And if I can put a smile on people’s faces in the process, even better!”
She’s been working as a freelance illustrator since 2014, when she finished her MA in Advertising and Design. Her client list is getting bigger and bigger but she always finds time to work on a personal project. When it comes to her style, she describes it as a mix of Toulouse-Lautrec and comics with a touch of Pop Art.

]]>Based in London, UK, Melissa has worked for notable clients including VOGUE, Fujitsu, WIRED, and Tesco Magazine. “I’d describe my style as graphic, colorful, and bold,” she shared with Ape on the Moon. “I take a lot of inspiration from the composition and layout of art deco posters from the 1930s, which I studied in my first few years at Falmouth.”
“I start each project with research, then I draw out ideas before developing my final sketch,” she went on to say. “I then spend time working with this in Photoshop adding color, texture, and extra elements.”
“I love working digitally but also love the imperfect nature of hand-drawn work. I combine both of them by starting each illustration as a pencil drawing and, once created digitally, I overlay traditional textures I’ve made through mono printing.”
We would totally love to hang a poster of hers on our wall.
