In Birdlime, we see an animated bird in a cage and its journey after escaping the cage. DeRushie hand-crafted the characters and, combined with a bright color palette and gibberish sounds instead of dialogue, they tell a powerful story.

He figured out that animation is a tool that can change the way we see certain animals. “With this in mind, I tried to portray a respectful relationship between human and animal, and to treat the bird without too much anthropomorphism,” he said in a statement. “I also wanted the film to feel like you were in the cage with the main character, and to be a bit confused by the world.”

She has always loved digital art but nowadays prefers using paper. “There is something magical when you see an animation on paper, rather than seeing it on a screen,” the artist told Kuwait Times. “I also love to mix real-life objects with animated sketches. I love the surprise factor, in which the viewer doesn’t expect what will happen next.”

At 17-years-old he bought the domain origiful.com. “I thought it sounded cool (like original + beautiful). I was wrong,” Padgham shares on his personal website. “But here we are two decades later and I’m still stuck being called Origiful!”

The Bordeaux, France-based artist makes hilarious artistic videos and has worked with big companies such as SFMOMA and Twitter. Later, he started his own company doing social content work for brands around the world.

“My videos have been seen hundreds of millions of times and I’ve won fancy awards,” he added. “And now that I have two little kids I rock a really killer dad bod.”

Alexander Unger is a 25-years-old from Sweden who creates stop-motion animations in his free time. His latest animation is called “Going Fishing” and it already has more than 202K views on his YouTube channel. The video is made from 2500 still pictures played at 18 FPS. According to Alexander, the animation was made in his bedroom desk. “After months of hard work GOING FISHING is finally here. I have never worked so hard. The animation is filled to the brim with new stuff I’ve never tried before. I animated with branches and leaves, paper, clay, fabric, fishing lures, forks and stones and moss and EVERYTHING I could think of”.
