French photographer Vincent Flouret became popular by revisiting the style of the greatest photographers with his dog named Max, so, as a long-time fan of Madonna, he chose for his next project the recreation of the covers of iconic records of the Queen of Pop.
In his “Maxdonna” project, the dog takes the place of the Madonna and slips into reproductions of iconic clips of the American star. Flouret explains he dutifully recreates at home the outfits of Madonna for the photo series (in the dog sizes, of course…) and personally sew 700 sequins for the Music costume, without a sewing machine. Max strikes the pose for recreations of covers such as Like a Virgin (1984) or Ray of light (1998) and Music (2000).
