Toronto-Based Illustrator Draws Vibrant and Colorful Illustrations

Toronto-based illustrator Carolyn Gavin has had a crazy life. She’s a ‘60s flower child who grew up in South Africa, who then had a chance to travel around Europe. She met her Montreal-born husband and decided to follow him to Canada, where they still live.

She’a a painter, illustrator, and surface pattern designer who’s worked on numerous projects that include package design, fabric design, book design, among others. Carolyn finds inspiration in flowers, travel, and unusual patterns and colors.
