Life can be hectic, but then, just when you thought you’ve gotten everything under control enters an alpaca.
Photographer Daniel Gebhart de Koekkoek believes we could all enjoy some quality alpaca time. His 2019 calendar, Better Living With Alpacas, features a cast of these furry wonders as they enjoy the high life, from fancy hotels to walk-in showers.
We didn’t know we were missing out on alpacas until we laid eyes on his quirky creations. “Alpacas are always positive and smile all day long,” the photographer told Office Magazine. “They transport their positive energy to others and make them feel better. If we would take care of each other a bit more and face each other with a friendly disposition, it would be a better world for all of us.”
Living and working both in Berlin and Vienna, Gebhart de Koekkoek wasn’t always obsessed with alpacas. His breakthrough was actually with cats. In the fall of 2016, the artist launched a “Jumping Cats” documentary, capturing cats in full flight.
What’s next? Elephants, giraffes, perhaps opossums? One can only hope.
