Japanese Cardboard Artist Creates Incredible Sculptures Out Of Old Boxes

Meet Monami Ono who studied 3D animation at Osaka University of the Arts. She applied her skills for animation to creating incredible sculptures out of cardboard boxes.

Her hobby for practicing animation on old boxes has turned into a full-time craft, landing her appearances on Japanese television, workshop appearances and film campaign models. Ono, who now specializes in mind-blowing cardboard artistry, crafts carefully detailed models of space ships, tanks, weapons, Gundams, shoes, and other amazing stuff. She even created a replica of the Millennium Falcon with intricate details.
