Have you noticed? It’s spring! Sunny days and chilly nights and gentle rain and finally – FINALLY – my poor, neglect-and-summer devastated garden is coming back to life. New growth is shooting up everywhere, buds are unfurling, birds are singing and the bees are coming back. It is truly, wonderfully glorious, and I am going to write a dozen letters to people I love, extolling the virtues of spring in the garden. This may well bore them to tears but, no matter, hopefully they will feel joy in knowing I am thinking of them and writing to them. 🌿 Ooh I’ve just had a thought! Indeed, the time to rekindle your relationships with friends is now. And trust us, there’s no better feeling than receiving a carefully written note from a loved one, reminding that you are loved and cared for. “Life today is busier than it has ever been!” observes Bulger. “But I think that is all the more reason why it is so special to slow down enough to write something meaningful, and personal, and show the person you’re writing to how much you care.”

You know when people talk about “labours of love”? I can absolutely relate!
