Things I often hear from people: What's like to be a full-time illustrator? Wow, you have lots of followers, how did you do? How do you make a living? Do you have a side job? The magic of the internet is that when you have a talent people will share it, and you get to be discovered. It is a channel which is very crowded nowadays, but it is possible. There is no secret or secret magic potion to be an artist; even if you have 100.000 followers, it does not mean it will happen. Numbers don't matter; it is all about the content and the engagement. Instagram is a tool for those who have something worth to share; it engages communities around topics, and it creates real close connections .Thanks to Instagram and all other online platform people discover lots of creatives and get a closer look at what's like to be an artist, and that's awesome. From my point of view, I see my Instagram profile as a gallery where I show my new skills and what I can do so brands can decide what style they like for an upcoming project. Most of the illustrations on my Instagram are my personal work, and I enjoy sharing it with people, it creates awareness of my style and drives traffic on my page. I am not contacting any of the brands I am working with, I spend a lot of time creating original content for social media, and it is how people see my work. I make a living thanks to brands who ask me to create illustrations for their online platforms, magazine, events, music, book for children and more. Most of the brands I work with are based in Paris, London, New York and California. I work on various projects and use my illustrations style for those assignments. I don't live from selling posters, it is a passive income which is great, but it doesn't pay all my bills. And I am not interested in creating a brand name; I just want to be a graphic artist who do various projects for different brands. If you have more questions please do I will try to answer you in the comments. Thank you.
