The now 21 year old New Yorker became a big nmame in the fashion industry back in 2008. As a yong girl, she had a developed sense of fashion and incredible writing skills. She started her blog, named Style Rookie, as a way to express herself and talk about what mattered to her.
She became an internet sensation in no time at all and started attracting attention from traditional media as well. People of the fashion world were mesmerized by the bright young girl. She was even invited to fashion shows and interviews on TV!
As her online presence grew, her tastes and interests evolved, and she traded her old blog for a much more ambitious project – a full-on e-magazine for preteens, where she and other writers would talk about lifestyle, relationships, culture and other subject that most young adults find fascinating.
Rookie, as it was called, was a sanctuary for yound girls all over the world. That’s were they found inspiration to be who they wanted to be, to love themselves and to look at things in a positive light.
Today, Tavi has branched out into acting and modelling, but she’s still a fashion icon, know for her bright smile and positive outlook as well as her style.
