Artist Creates Adorable Drawings Inspired By Their Struggles

BigHeads is a pseudonym of a college student from Hong Kong who has been sharing adorable drawings online for more than 2 years now.

Inspired by their struggles with emotional issues since teenage years, BigHeads creates cartoons with inspirational quotes to spread more encouragement, understanding and support particularly for people going through same struggles in their lives.

“I also want to break the stigma of discussing emotional issues, especially in Hong Kong’s society,” BigHeads wrote on Bored Panda. “Recently, I have been inspired by my friends and followers to reflect on self-love and self-care so I decided to create a series of drawings on how to love yourself. All of them are hand-drawn.”

😷 「你要快點努力好起來啊！」 . 身體受傷了，需要時間休養 心靈生病了，也需要時間復原 你會叫患上感冒的病人，或者跌倒受傷的傷者「快點努力好起來」嗎？ 哪怎麼對著心靈生病的病人時，卻會鼓勵他們「快點努力好起來」呢？ 這種鼓勵，彷彿是一種催促 彷彿病情好壞基於病人的付出 彷彿還未好過來，是因為未夠努力 其實，心靈患病的人同樣需要時間復原 記住給復原中的自己多一點耐性 也給復原中的病人多一點時間 順其自然，慢慢好過來 It takes time to recover when the body got sick It also takes time to recover when the mind got sick We don't tell someone with a flu or a broken arm to "work hard and get well soon" So why would we tell someone to do that when their mind got sick? Be patient with yourself and those around you recovering Take it slow and get well day by day
